About Us
Zombie Crawl Orlando is an independent, invisible-theatre group based in Orlando, Fl. We specialize in Zombie based events, appearances, and general Zombie Fandom and lore.
Most of us are performers by nature working either at one of the many local theme parks or through a local theatre group/company/school. However, we fully encourage anyone with any interest whatsoever in just generally being weird and meeting people with a similar healthy interest in Zombies and Horror Films to contact us, join us, and come on out. Or maybe just someone who wants to make some friends.
Zombie Crawl Orlando was born in 2007, and has already held two major events. On January 3rd, we Crawled downtown Orlando via Church St. and Orange Ave. A few months later, May 19th saw the uprising of Zoco Zombies in Winter Park, on the terribly popular Park Ave. Being our burgeoning first year, we're looking to build up and expand fast. Having almost doubled our numbers in roughly 6 months from the first event to the second. We're hoping to have a third event late in 2007 before dropping off the frequency of our Crawls to give Orlando, our performers, and (of course) our Make-up Artists (who make us look so drop-dead gorgeous) a break.
Zombie Crawl Orlando is open to anyone willing to put in the time to be a part of our event. With some pre-requisites:
- You must be 18 years of age OR
- Have a legal parent/Guardian present or sign a release
- Provide your own old clothes to be torn up, zombied, and blooded up
- Pay a certain entrance fee of no more than 10 dollars.
"Why a fee?", you may ask. Zombie Crawl Orlando utilizes professional air-brush and cream make-up artists, many of which have worked for such companies and events as Universal Orlando, Screamfest, and Halloween Horror Nights. They are the people that make our look so unique and uniform. Your fee allows us to pay them for their time and workmanship. Many of them volunteer to do these events for the same reasons the performers do: FUN. However, we do our best to give them whatever money we can bring in to encourage them to come back, and to just show our appreciation.
Zombie Crawl Orlando aims to provide you with a memorable experience and we'll do everything we can to make that happen.
